GP practices

Across NHS Frimley GP practices work as Primary Care Networks, bringing together primary care, mental health, community nursing, paramedic practitioners and a range of other clinicians and practitioners, all working together to provide better all-round support for local people.

Unsure about the exact role of GPs and what they can offer you as a patient? We’ve got it covered.

Registering with a GP surgery

Anyone can register with a GP surgery. You do not need proof of address or immigration status.

Your GP Practice is working differently

GP practices have been open throughout the pandemic with everyone working hard to continue to provide services. Things may be different, but GP practices open.

To help keep everyone safe and to minimise the risk of infection, appointments are being triaged to provide appropriate care. This helps keep patients safe and makes sure the people with the greatest need and seen first.
Patients who enter GP practices are no longer required to wear a face mask. However, the advice is that anyone with a respiratory illness continues to wear masks when attending their GP practice.

Please continue to be kind to NHS staff, socially distance where possible and wear a face mask in healthcare settings.

The infographic below explains how GP practices are working now. You can also download a PDF version of the infographic here.
